I started thinking about ways to describe the reasons why people even take pictures. I thought a little more then a little more after that and I started to wonder why and how pictures started. After a little thinking and researching about the start of pictures. I was very intrigued of the evolution pictures and picture taking.
Joseph Nicephore Niepce changed the world when he produced the very first photograph in 1827
1832 Hercules Florence introduced a very similar process for developing photos. He named his method photographie.
Daguerre eventually invented the daguerreotype in 1839, which utilized silver compounds in image development.
By 1850 photographs were cheap enough that almost anyone could have a portrait of themselves or family members taken.
It wasn't until the late 1970s, though, that our beloved "point-and-shoot" cameras were marketed.
